It's so upsetting when your bird is having problems! My guy Pete has had many, many problems over the 17 years that I've had him, and I've had very good experience with an avian veterinarian in my town. I really rely on her to help me through difficulties with Pete. Pete is absolutely obnoxious to most people except for me and my husband, and even bites me on occasion. Avian vets are usually very skilled in dealing with birds that really don't want to be handled! I'd give your sweetie a few days, but if the eye doesn't look like it's getting better, I'd take her to the vet.
