Probably for the obvious reason: He's upset at you leaving him with strangers. Perhaps he has a traumatic past and felt insecure. Or perhaps he is simply demanding and self-centered. Perhaps there's another reason.
Whatever the cause, nandays are quite capable of holding grudges. I used to have a bird who would sulk for several days after wings were clipped, for example.
The sulk is probably temporary, but it's quite possible that your bird has made up his mind that you're not to be trusted. If so, then you will have to win him back by giving him some extra attention for a while.
