Please do not give Marley any alcohol -- not even light beer. Nandays are very small creatures, and it's very possible that, in satisfying his thirst, he could either become drunk and hurt himself, or else get end up with alcohol poisoning, possibly fatally.
I would also suggest that you look further than Wal-Mart for feeding him. The trouble is that you never know how long the seed has been lying on the shelves. It's quite possible that Marley is not very interested in it because it's not fresh.
Do a little research, and you can find all sorts of brands of parrot food that are likelier to be healthier than what Wal-Mart puts together. You might even want to buy fresh seed from a pet shop or a health food store and mix it together for yourself.
You can also feed him fresh fruit and veggies.
However, parrots are sloppy eaters, and there is going to be a lot of waste, no matter what food you feed him. | Previous   |   Next   message in this thread
