I received my Nanday from a co-worker on the 15th. This behavior so describes the new addition to my family. My hands look like pretty rough after the past couple of days. I am now the fourth family he has had in the past 5 years. When I first met him, my co-worker could not get over how well he acted toward me. Counting her and the previous owner, I was the only person that could touch him. He tends to hide and scream for everyone else. I am able to tell if he will come out if I am met with a raised foot vs. an attempted bite. By using the back of my hand I've been able to save some skin recently. When leaving the cage open, he tends to come and stand on the open door. Only once has he jumped down to the floor and walked around a short bit and then climbed back up to the cage. And only once has he walked on top of the cage to beat on some of the toys from up above. There are no plans to every part with him. Keep us posted on your progress with your Nanday. Wish you the best!
