Ya, i think thats normal. Mine does that alot all the time. It also started out as a thing that he used to do in the mirror with himself but then progressed to doing it to me when he would see me walking up the steps into the room where he is at. I used to play along with him and kinda mock him back with it. You know, like slowly raising your arms out at the side and rock back and forth like him.
I think it is some kind of a challenge pose. A lot of animals in nature have a way of trying to make themselves look bigger than their actual size as a way to ward off others.
thats just my 2 cents though. Im sure Margaret will have some great wisdom for you pertaining to this subject. She rocks!
