Wouldn't that depend on quantity? And what else is in the bird's diet? I suspect that if a bird's diet is rich in iron and potassium (which a Nanday's should be, since many are subject to Conure Bleeding Syndrome, then I suspect that onions and garlic in small amounts wouldn't be harmful.
Not, you understand, that I have any intention of experimenting with my birds or urging anyone else to experiment with theirs. But I make these comments in the hopes that nobody panics if their bird does get a little of these foods.
